Purpose
The hotline is a reporting mechanism for compliance issues. Health System
employees and other interested parties can use the hotline to report suspected
violations of federal, state and local law, as well as Inova policies and
procedures relating to illegal or unethical conduct. The hotline is to be used
when other resolution channels have been ineffective or the caller wishes to
remain anonymous.
Objectives
To become an integral part of Inova Health System's compliance program with
the overall objective of detecting violations of the code of conduct, policies
and procedures, as well as applicable regulations and laws.
To provide an internal avenue for employees to report, in good faith, any serious concerns or perceived violations.
Operation
National Hotline Services, Inc. is under contract to operate Inova Health
System's compliance hotline. Calls are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Hotline reports are faxed to the Compliance Department at the conclusion of the
call. All calls are confidential. The caller may remain anonymous.
